Blog feedback and learner response

 FEEDBACK

WWW: You’ve made an excellent start to A Level Media on the coursework side – well done! Your blog is fully up to date and your reflection on the mise-en-scene recreation is exactly what I want to see in an LR task. In particular, I like your description of getting better at editing and I assure you that the next few projects will continue that progress and development. Keep up the good work!

EBI: The main message here is simple – keep doing what you’re doing! The analytical work is obviously very important alongside the practical but you have done very well here too with some good analysis of the mise-en-scene in some well-chosen scenes and images. Depth and detail is critical to reach the top grades in Media so this is something to keep developing.

RESPONSE

Reflect on your first month of Film & TV Language.

What aspect of Film & TV language have you most enjoyed studying?

= The aspect of film and tv language I have most enjoyed studying has to be the concept of mis-en-scene because it has given me a broader idea on what the behind the scene detail work the director has to ensure looks good and what fits into the agenda of the product produced.

What is your strongest piece of work so far?

= My strongest piece of work so far has to be my mis-en-scene blog tasks because I analysed the tests in proper detail and completed to my fullest potential by working through the clamps format.

What is your weakest?

= My weakness probably has to be more consistent when analysing the blog tasks.

What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop before we start coursework at the end of Year 12?

=I feel as if I just need to be again more consistent in answering questions meaning answer all of the them to the same equal answers as all the questions combined.
