 Statement of Intent feedback and learner response Comments for AQA:   This is a largely clear statement of intent that shows a good concept that matches the TV crime drama / TV listings magazine brief. It fits the target audience appropriately and feels like a ‘Netflix style’ show. Media language elements are considered in places (e.g. narrative, lighting, setting, sound) but without the depth of meaning / connotations required for the top levels. Very little reference to camerawork or editing – it is difficult to tell from this statement exactly what the three-minute extract will include or how it fits into the wider TV drama series. Representation is addressed with some reference to media theory but more detailed reference to the planned production work and how it links to theory required for higher levels.   Preliminary exercise learner response 1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full plus a summary of the comments you received from other students in the class. Almost works like a trailer for your drama - I like it! Dialogue scene works well with a range of  interesting camera shots and angles. I particularly like the shot through the leaves. Audio is good in places but not consistent - an important lesson for the main production. Lesson here is to use the main audio track from first clip then overlay other visuals. Music , branding and title all work well. I like the self - referential dialogue! 2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write three WWW bullet points and three EBI bullet points for your work.
