  • The scene on the hill works nicely initially but depending on where this three-minute extract will appear in the wider drama I’m not sure where it will go… in some ways this is more like a short film than a TV extract. How many more episodes are there? Where will the narrative go next? You don’t need to make the entire episode but you want the audience to have an idea of why they would want to keep watching.

  • Check audio levels – the conversation on the hill is nice and clear but the levels jump around a little. See if you can smooth it out a little as professional audio is so helpful for a top level finish.

  • The flashback scene works quite nicely – the reference to TV crime drama cliches is very postmodern! I would look at the framing of the shots in this section and see if you can do anything in Premiere to improve this (OTS shots are difficult to frame though).

  • Add a 'previously on' text during the opening sequence to make it look less like like a trailer.

Summer project tasks 1) Research: TV crime drama extract analysis  How To Get Away With Murder: Narrative and genre In terms of the tv crime drama genre it is mainly viewed by the older generation however because the show involves a narrative of law students it gained a lot of attraction from college/law  students across the world, which skyrocketed the viewer age.  show starts off with an introduction to a criminal law course, throughout the seasons the audience is able to identify the irony between the law class and what they have to go through in order to actually get away with murder. TV assessment: Learner response 1) Type up your feedback in  full  (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential). WWW -This is a very impressive assessment: you have clearly prepared superbly and offer understanding depth and detail in both questions. EBI -Q1 lacks a little clarity around pastiche which just keeps it from the top level. Revise this element.        -Q2 is also close to the top level but I wonder if your essay structure could help more here. Dividing into social/cultural/political contexts means you don't focus enough on he ideology element and what audiences are being told. 2) Read  the whole mark scheme for this assessment  carefully.
